Loading ...Good help takes many forms. As Haiti struggles to recover from devastation, members of the Bon Secours community are answering the call to serve. On February 18th, a partnership of medical missionaries from Salva Vida and Bon Secours left for Haiti. The group, led by Dr. Fred McGlynn and JoAnn McCaffery (Director of Cross Cultural Services), will travel to the Jacmel area of Haiti.
We are already hearing from JoAnn and her cohort. They made it safely to the Dominican Republic on the evening of Feb 18th. On the 19th some members of the team as well as supplies were able to board a small plane to the Jacmel area. The rest of the team is hopeful they will find transport soon.
Although phone lines are down and communication is sporadic, our team will attempt to check in throughout the mission.
